Garnet's hair resembles Ruby's, and her upper body part resembles Sapphire's. Her gemstones are embedded in her palms (with Sapphire's on her right and Ruby's on her left, which reversely correlates to her eyes colors). Her right eye is a medium ruby-red, her left a medium sapphire-blue, while the center third eye is a reddish-violet, resembling the combination of blue and red. She is also the second most muscular Gem of the group (also being surpassed by Bismuth). Garnet is a tall gem, the second tallest of the remaining Crystal Gems only being surpassed by Bismuth. As of "Together Alone", she is poofed by Yellow Diamond along with Amethyst and Pearl, but she is eventually regenerated in the Season 5 half-hour finale special, "Change Your Mind" along with Amethyst and Pearl. In "Jail Break", it is revealed that Garnet is the Fusion Gem of Ruby and Sapphire. She is the current leader of the Crystal Gems.

She wears a light blue top with a yellow star and pale pink shorts under an iridescent blue and green skirt. She has large blue eyes and a pointed nose. Her short hair is a pastel orange and is styled to a point at the back of her head.
